Gasometer Oberhausen

Gasometer Oberhausen, a publicly owned entity headquartered in Germany, was repurposed in 1995 and operates with approximately 20 employees. This industrial landmark functions as a prominent exhibition venue, serving as an anchor point for both the European Route of Industrial Heritage and the Industrial Heritage Trail. The structure, originally constructed as a gas holder in the 1920s, underwent rebuilding after sustaining damage during World War II before its transformation into an exhibition space.
