The Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA), a state-owned entity founded in 1976, operates several large public venues in Georgia. Its holdings include the Georgia World Congress Center (3.9 million square feet), Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and Centennial Olympic Park (21 acres) in downtown Atlanta. GWCCA also manages the Savannah Convention Center. With a workforce of approximately 360 employees, the authority oversees what it claims is the world's largest combined convention, sports, and entertainment complex.
