German Basketball Federation, also known as DBB, is a privately owned entity headquartered in Germany. It was founded in 1949 and employs approximately 80 individuals. Functioning as the governing body for basketball in Germany, the organization focuses on ball sports.
On May 11, 2026, the German U20 Men's squad prepared for a training camp scheduled from June 12-21, 2026, at the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Kienbaum and in Le Temple-sur-Lot, France. Previously, on April 11, Jamie Edoka was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) among boys at the 31st Albert Schweitzer Tournament 2024 in Mannheim and Viernheim, with Japan's Miya Takeuchi receiving the award for girls. Earlier on the same day, the German U18 boys secured their third victory in the tournament's nearly 70-year history by defeating Slovenia 83:79 in the final under national coach Alan Ibrahimagic. This followed the U18 team's advancement to the final on April 10, after a 121:98 semi-final win against Brazil. Also on April 10, game reports from day six of the 31st Albert Schweitzer Tournament included Italy's 75:69 victory over Türkiye.
