German Ski Association, also known as DVS, a privately owned organization headquartered in Germany, was founded in 1905. With approximately 200 employees, the association reported $28.6M in revenue as of 2023. Functioning as the national governing body for skiing in Germany, the DVS represents over 650,000 members across 20 regional associations. It oversees top-level disciplines including Alpine, Biathlon, Ski Jumping, Cross-Country, and Freestyle. The organization trains athletes, coaches, and sets standards for ski education.
