Epiphone, a Gibson brand, introduced the Inspired by Gibson Mayday Monster ’59 Les Paul Standard and the Inspired by Gibson Custom Mayday Monster 1960 J-45 signature models on May 1, 2026, for the founding member of the mandopop group Mayday. Previously, on April 27, Gibson added verygently, a collaborative force of Nashville singer-songwriters Drew Erwin, Joey Hendricks, and Tristan Bushman, to its Artist Spotlight program, which supports emerging talent. This followed Gibson's launch on April 22 of three new 12-fret models as part of its Century Collection, continuing its celebration of 100 Years of Flat-Tops with models featuring improved comfort and a responsive voice for fingerstyle players. Earlier, on April 20, Gibson honored Jake Kiszka's 1961 Les Paul SG Standard, known for shaping the sounds of Greta Van Fleet and his new band Mirador, by making a version available to fans.
