Gonzaga College High School is a privately owned entity headquartered in the US. Founded by the Jesuits in 1821 as the Washington Seminary, and named in honor of Aloysius Gonzaga, an Italian saint from the 16th century, it operates with approximately 240 employees. Functioning as the oldest boys' high school in Washington, D.C., the institution provides a private Catholic college-preparatory education for boys.
