Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense, commonly known as Grêmio, is a Brazilian professional football club based in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. Founded in 1903, it is one of the most successful clubs in Brazil, having won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A twice, the Copa do Brasil five times, the Copa Libertadores da América three times, and the Intercontinental Cup once. The club has a long-standing rivalry with Internacional, with whom they contest the Gre-Nal derby. Grêmio is known for its strong youth academy, which has produced several notable players, including Ronaldinho, Arthur, and Lucas Leiva. The club is privately owned and has approximately 200 employees.
