Hannay Reels, a family-owned Albany County manufacturer with growing revenue, is set to be acquired within the next year. On April 24, 2026, CEO and President Eric Hannay confirmed a binding agreement to sell the company to Madison Industries, with the transaction expected to close early next year, while assuring the company would remain in Westerlo. Previously, from April 20–25, 2026, Hannay Reels showcased its SBEF hose reel and ECR1600 cable reel for fire and rescue apparatus at FDIC International in Indianapolis. Earlier, the company highlighted its full line of custom hose and cable reels engineered for construction applications at CONEXPO 2026, which took place from March 3–7 in Las Vegas.
