High Point University (HPU) is a privately owned university located in High Point, North Carolina, founded in 1924 as High Point College. It officially became High Point University in 1991 and maintains an affiliation with the United Methodist Church. The university currently employs approximately 2,970 people and offers a range of academic programs, including 66 undergraduate majors, 68 undergraduate minors, and 21 graduate majors.
