Hitron Technologies, publicly owned and headquartered in Taiwan, was founded in 1986. Employing approximately 240 individuals, the company reported $285.4M in revenue as of 2025. Its main product focuses on fibre access, functioning primarily as a broadband CPE provider.
Hitron Americas joined a relatively small but growing list of customer premises equipment (CPE) vendors by receiving conditional approvals for its DOCSIS PON and FWA gateways on June 24, 2026, following the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)'s ban on new foreign-made consumer routers. This development came as a Hitron executive provided insight on June 25 into the March 2026 FCC ban, which disrupted the broadband industry by mandating new processes for service providers and vendors to obtain exemptions for devices on the agency's "Covered List" deemed potential national security threats. Previously, on April 13, Hitron Technologies Inc.'s Board of Directors resolved to invest up to $45 million using internal funds to acquire 100% of the equity of Perle Systems Limited. This resolution followed an agreement announced on April 7, where Phoenix Contact sold Perle Systems Ltd., a globally recognized provider of high-availability industrial networking solutions headquartered in Ontario, Canada, and its subsidiaries to Hitron Technologies Inc., aligning with Phoenix Contact's strategic focus on its core businesses. Earlier, on February 23, Hitron Technologies Inc. reported its full-year 2025 earnings, with sales decreasing to TWD 8880.24 million from TWD 9088.22 million a year prior, and net loss widening to TWD 116.63 million compared to TWD 52.14 million in the previous year. Basic and diluted loss per share were both TWD 0.36.
