Hytera, a privately owned company headquartered in China, was founded in 1993 and employs approximately 650 individuals. The company specializes in telecoms, providing Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) communications solutions to governmental organizations, public security institutions, and customers from industries such as transportation and oil & gas.
On June 23, 2026, Hytera launched its W60 Wearable MCS Radio at Critical Communications World (CCW) in London. The lightweight device, weighing approximately 156 grams, aims to extend mission-critical communication beyond traditional PMR system coverage limits, supporting operations in public safety, transportation, energy, and industrial sectors by addressing radio signal coverage gaps. The same day, Hytera's DMR solution was noted for enhancing safety and efficiency across more than 140 mines in South Korea, specifically by overcoming extensive radio signal dead zones in underground operations. Previously, on June 19, Hytera introduced its new P60 Smart PoC Radio in Indonesia, expanding its broadband communications portfolio in the local market. This launch event, held in Jakarta, marked a new collaboration with local partner PT Samafitro.
