Private equity firm Hellman & Friedman acquired events group Hyve for a reported $1.8 billion on June 5, 2026. This acquisition followed Hellman & Friedman's preparation to snap up Hyve, pre-empting a potential bidding war among private equity firms earlier that spring. Hyve had been under the ownership of Providence Equity Partners and Searchlight Capital Partners for only four years prior to this deal.
