IABM is a non-profit organization headquartered in the UK, founded in 1976 and employing approximately 80 individuals. The organization functions as the International Association for broadcast and media technology, focusing on broadcast media production and distribution.
IABM participated in SMPTE's fifth annual Young Innovators event on February 11 at Sky Studios, which brought together students, new entrants, and industry leaders to discuss breaking down barriers and opening doors into the MediaTech sector. Earlier on February 11, Sherina Florence, IABM's founder and executive creative director, joined Kevin Willard and Noelle Palumbo to announce the launch of eVAL, a digital tool designed to help brands understand, generate, and strengthen their Entertainment Value across their content. Previously, IABM served as the curator and chair of the Broadcast AV Summit at ISE 2026 on February 2, shaping a program that addressed a significant shift in media technology and business. This followed IABM's commentary on January 27 regarding the evolving content landscape, noting YouTube's sustained dominant share of US living room TV viewing since February 2025, an indicator of the industry's shift towards new economies driven by creators, experience, and streaming.
