IceTV, privately owned and headquartered in Australia, is an Australian provider of consumer electronics, specializing in EPG and PVR solutions. Founded in 2005, the company operates with an estimated 10 employees. The company provides Australia's Electronic Program Guide (EPG) and smart recording software, available for hardware platforms such as smartphones, personal video recorders (PVRs), computers, and peripherals. Its cloud-based smart recording functionality is accessible via smartphones, tablets, and web browsers. IceTV markets its products directly to consumers and through OEM partnerships with hardware vendors and EPG aggregators. Its EPG service brought Australia's first remote TV recording features to smartphones. This device uses digital signal processing software to identify adverts without affecting the recording, designed to comply with copyright.
