COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Cleveland State University-Ideastream deal over WCSB 89.3 could be invalidated because the college did not follow Ohio public meetings law, an expert on public meetings laws said. David Marburger, a longtime Cleveland lawyer who drafted a revision to the state’s public records act, said that if a government board violates the state’s sunshine laws that require government meetings and decisions be open to the public, the action taken by the board can be invalidated.

However, CSU President Laura Bloomberg gets a seat on Ideastream’s Board of Trustees.
