INRI Studio, a privately owned entity headquartered in Singapore, was founded in 1999 and specializes in content rights and independent film production. Established by cult director Tzang Merwyn Tong alongside musician Armen Rizal Rahman and Lee Amizadai, the underground collective was formed with personal savings to create alternative, writer-driven cinema. The studio achieved significance within the Singaporean media landscape by becoming the first entity in the country to commercially release a short film on DVD. Its specialized portfolio focuses on dark, psychosexual reinterpretations of traditional folklore and teenage black comedies, highlighted by feature films such as e'Tzaintes: giving self-deceit a better name and A Wicked Tale, which won the Gold Remi Award at WorldFest-Houston.
