Iowa PBS, a state-owned public broadcasting network founded in 1969, operates television and radio stations across Iowa. Iowa PBS announced that its Ready for School program, now in its 13th year, continues to partner with educators, parents, and community organizations to provide STEM and literacy activities for children aged 2-5. On August 24, between 12:05 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., transmitter KDIN Channel 11, serving central Iowa, experienced an outage due to tower maintenance. A separate service interruption affected the Rock Rapids viewing area beginning September 3 at 2:00 p.m., also due to tower maintenance. On November 1, Iowa PBS and the State Historical Society of Iowa held a screening and discussion event focusing on the American Revolution.
