Jirafa Films

Jirafa Films is a privately owned company headquartered in Chile. Founded in 2001 by producer Bruno Bettati and currently led by producer Augusto Matte, the company operates with approximately 10 employees. Legally formalized in its current structure around 2007, the company originated in Valdivia and later expanded with offices in Santiago. Jirafa Films functions as a Chilean independent film production company, specializing in high-concept artistic films and international co-productions with partners in Europe and Latin America. The company has produced over 15 feature films recognized at international festivals, including *The Maid (La Nana, 2009)*, which received the World Cinema Jury Prize at Sundance, and *The Cow Who Sang a Song Into the Future (2022)*. Jirafa Films is recognized for its roots outside the capital, maintaining a link to its southern regional identity, and contributes to the "New Chilean Cinema" movement.
