ABB announced a US$110 million investment to expand its research and development and manufacturing operations in the United States, creating new production lines and jobs in Mississippi, Virginia, North Carolina, and Puerto Rico to meet increased demand for advanced electrification solutions. This investment builds upon a previously announced expansion, bringing the total investment in U.S. manufacturing to US$220 million this year. The investment focuses on strengthening research and development in advanced electrification for commercial and industrial sectors. Separately, ABB Robotics invested in LandingAI, a California-based company, to improve robotic vision technology, making it faster, more user-friendly, and accessible. This collaboration will integrate LandingAI's vision technology into ABB Robotics' software platform. Finally, ABB appointed a new People Leader.
