California Attorney General Rob Bonta filed a lawsuit on Monday against Los Angeles County, the LA County Sheriff's Department, Sheriff Robert Luna, County Correctional Health Services (CHS), and Dr. Timothy Belavich, Director of Correctional Health Services. The lawsuit alleges unconstitutional and inhumane conditions in county jails. Separately, a company launched its ergonomic rechargeable wireless mouse on a CBS Los Angeles TV shopping segment. This launch aimed to meet back-to-school tech needs and provide workspace solutions. In August, Paramount announced it will become the exclusive home of UFC in the U.S. beginning in 2026. All UFC numbered events and Fight Nights will stream live on Paramount+, with select marquee fights simulcast on CBS Los Angeles and New York.
