News Summary:

The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) reported that U.S. tariffs on Korean imports reached $3.3 billion in the second quarter of 2025, the sixth-highest among the U.S.'s top ten trading partners. This represented the steepest increase in tariffs imposed on South Korean exports to the United States among major trading partners during that period. On a separate matter, KCCI co-hosted the APEC CEO Summit in Gyeongju, South Korea, from October 28 to 31. Additionally, KCCI signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korea-US Alliance Foundation on an unspecified Wednesday to aid the employment of U.S. Forces Korea veterans and enhance bilateral cooperation.
