On August 13, 2026, LaLiga announced it will introduce connected ball technology, developed through a collaboration with its refereeing body CTA, PUMA, and KINEXON, across all matches for the 2026-2027 season. This makes LaLiga the first national professional football competition to deploy such a system on a large scale, with availability beginning from the opening round. Previously, on July 19, 2026, KINEXON GmbH launched a unified platform by combining RTLS Pro and Kinexon OS. This integrated solution merges hardware and software under a single architecture, enabling industrial manufacturing and logistics operations to deploy Real-Time Locating Systems capable of supporting fully automated, self-optimizing smart factory environments at scale.
