KLRN, a privately owned entity headquartered in the US, was founded in 1962 and employs approximately 70 individuals. The company focuses on broadcast media production and distribution.
On February 18, 2026, KLRN's program "On The Record with Randy Beamer" featured SAWS President and CEO Robert Puente, who discussed planned water rate increases for residents, along with Mike Ramsey, Executive Director for the city’s “Ready to Work” program, who presented data on resident training and employment. Previously, on February 9, KLRN co-hosted "Be My Neighbor Day 2026" with PNC Grow Up Great and Fred Rogers Productions, a free family-friendly event that allowed children and families to assemble learning kits and create greeting cards for local community helpers. Earlier, on February 3, KLRN released its "Educator Resources" for February 2026, offering recommendations for PBS Kids shows and supplemental educational resources for schools and homes. This followed KLRN's January 25 distribution of free educational resources for families and neighbors, which focused on health and well-being and included activities and lessons from partners such as Sesame Street in Communities and PBS LearningMedia. KLRN had also published its "Educator Resources" for December 2025 on December 1, 2025, featuring PBS KIDS programs and accompanying resources on PBS LearningMedia.
