KSAT is a Privately Owned company headquartered in the United States. It operates as a subsidiary of Graham Media Group. Founded in 1957 and employing approximately 190 individuals, the company specializes in media and TV services, functioning as a regional TV station and a tier 1 media tech buyer.
On September 15, 2026, KSAT was selected by Intuitive Machines to operate the IM 300 spacecraft for NASA’s EAGLE VSWIR mission. This mission will integrate the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL)’s Visible to Shortwave Infrared (VSWIR) instrument to characterize Earth’s surface by investigating ground and water temperature, snow reflectivity, active geologic processes, vegetation traits, and algal biomass, while also testing technology for future lunar and Mars exploration. Earlier, on February 17, 2026, KSAT prepared for an on-orbit relay test with its Hyperion concept, which moves from design into demonstration using relay satellites to function as "ground stations in space" to shorten the time operators receive critical satellite data.
