Lafayette College, a non-profit organization headquartered in the US, was founded in 1826 and employs approximately 1770 individuals. It functions as a liberal arts college located in eastern Pennsylvania.
On April 30, Lafayette College detailed a faculty workshop aimed at enhancing knowledge of ADHD and providing strategies for supporting neurodiverse students, led by Sasha Montgomery ‘26 in collaboration with Dr. Wendy Hill, Dr. Laura Murray, and Ms. Marty Sullivan. Later that day, the college also promoted a lunch-time session focused on meaningful time utilization and prioritizing well-being. Earlier on April 30, confusion continued regarding the now-defunct documentary storymaking minor, which shuttered last fall due to a loss of regional-level support from the Lehigh Valley Association of Independent Colleges (LVAIC), drawing criticism for the administration. The minor, established in 2016, was a collaborative program with Lehigh University and Muhlenberg College. Also on April 30, the college announced an interest meeting scheduled for May 4 to establish a parenting community group for faculty and staff, designed to discuss balancing work and parenting. Earlier the same day, the Lafayette College Chamber Orchestra, directed by Lewis R. Baratz, prepared to present "Kindred Spirits" on May 3 at the Williams Center for the Arts.
