Lafayette College received the 2026 Pride of Easton Award on June 15 from the Easton Area Chamber and Warren County Council, recognizing its outstanding commitment to the region through generosity, leadership, and hands-on involvement. Previously, on June 12, groups of faculty, staff, alumni, and students traveled to Paris to commemorate the College’s 200th anniversary by celebrating the Marquis de Lafayette. The Arts at Lafayette announced it would host the Summer Sing: Louder Than Words concert, programmed by the Lehigh Valley Chorale and Mosaic Youth Chorus, at the William Center for the Arts on June 20. Earlier, from June 5-7, more than 1300 alumni returned to College Hill for a Bicentennial Reunion, celebrating 200 years of Lafayette history and friendships. On June 4, the College inducted three new members—Harry S. Cherken Jr. Esq. ’71; Gordon J. Macdonald P’89 GP’19’22; and Ruth M.—into Société d’Honneur, its philanthropic honor society, for their exceptional lifetime giving.
