Lafayette College initiated a search for a new communications leader on April 2, following the departure of its Vice President of Communications, Kathryn Meier, who became chief of staff for the University of Delaware’s College of Engineering. Meier's new role is a lateral move from a position she previously held at her alma mater. On April 1, the Karl Stirner Arts Trail announced that Lafayette '98 alumnus and 2016 Philadelphia Poet Laureate Yolanda Wisher would lead a poetry workshop on April 4 as part of its 2026/2027 Poetry in the Wild initiative. Earlier, on March 31, the college's Office of Sustainability announced campus celebrations for Earth Month would kick off on April 1 with over 30 events, culminating in EarthFest. Also on March 31, a webinar was offered to assist Lafayette faculty from primarily undergraduate institutions (PUIs) in crafting competitive NSF CAREER proposals. This followed news on March 28 regarding a session led by Vice President for Advancement Sean Scanlon, held on March 31, which focused on Lafayette’s upcoming comprehensive campaign.
