Latvijas Sabiedriskais medijs (LSM) is a privately owned Latvian media organization founded in 2025. It resulted from the merger of Latvijas Radio (LR), established in 1925, and Latvijas Televīzija (LTV), established in 1954. LSM's stated goals include strengthening Latvian democracy, freedom of speech, and national identity, as well as promoting the Latvian language and culture. As of 2023, LSM employed approximately 30 people and generated less than $10 million in revenue. Its offerings include six radio programs from LR, covering diverse topics; two television channels (LTV1 and LTV7) from LTV, featuring news, documentaries, cultural programming, sports, and entertainment; and an online portal, LSM.lv, providing news and other content. LSM is a member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
