LBCI reported on April 29 that talks with Israel have shown no progress, with no new developments anticipated in direct negotiations in Washington. The broadcaster also noted that a three-way presidential meeting in Baabda is not expected in the foreseeable future, though communication between Baabda and Ain al-Tineh remains intact. Earlier on April 29, LBCI sources indicated President Joseph Aoun and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri maintained contact, with coordination between Ain el-Tineh and Baabda Palace focused on preserving internal stability and upholding the ceasefire agreement. Aoun reportedly stepped up communication with US officials to urge Israel to respect the ceasefire. Additionally, on April 29, Lebanon’s Finance Minister Yassine Jaber, in an interview with LBCI, affirmed monetary stability as the country’s top priority, stressing the importance of addressing public sector rights legally and without undermining financial stability. This followed LBCI reports on April 23 that Saudi Arabia, coordinating with Egypt, intensified diplomatic efforts to ensure a unified Lebanese position ahead of anticipated Washington talks, prioritizing alignment among Lebanon's three presidencies. Earlier on April 23, LBCI sources also reported the second preparatory meeting for direct talks between Lebanon and Israel moved from the U.S. State Department to the White House.
