On June 24, 2026, Dr. Edwin Powell, a Liberty University alumnus with a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling, is leading security efforts as Special Advisor to the Ministry of National Security in the Federation of St. Kitts, focusing on combating illegal drugs, weapons, and trafficking. Earlier the same day, Liberty University renewed its longtime partnership with Sodexo through a new 10-year agreement to enhance campus dining, hospitality, and event experiences while supporting the university's growth.
