Lincoln Park Zoo

Lincoln Park Zoo, a Privately Owned, Non-profit organization headquartered in the US, was founded in 1868 and operates with approximately 460 employees. Also known as Lincoln Park Zoological Gardens, it is a 35-acre (14 ha) zoo situated in Lincoln Park, Chicago, Illinois. It holds the distinction of being the second oldest zoo in the United States and is notable as one of a small number of zoos that offer free admission. The institution is an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and achieved accreditation as an arboretum in 2019.
