News Summary:

On June 19, 2025, Ireland’s Playhouse Studios acquired the assets of troubled UK post-production house Lipsync, which was also referred to as The Brutalist post house, from accountancy firm Oury Clark for an undisclosed amount, saving dozens of jobs. This acquisition followed Playhouse Studios' purchase of Lipsync from administration on June 18, when the Greystones-based company installed Mark Foligno as CEO. Previously, on June 8, 2025, Norman Merry, Lipsync Post’s finance director and a film equity investor, died at age 63 in London after a late 2024 cancer diagnosis. Merry had served at the Soho-based company for nearly 27 years, helping to finance numerous UK films including *We Need To Talk About Kevin* and *Nowhere Boy*.
