News Summary:

On June 18, 2026, Shenzhen-based memory and storage company Longsys advanced the configuration for AMD's Ryzen AI Halo, which recently entered the market for $4000. Earlier the same day, Longsys, which operates the Lexar and FORESEE brands, unveiled new storage solutions including an 8TB PCIe 5.0 SSD, capable of 11GB/s. These offerings also feature a custom chip for on-the-fly compression on existing SSDs, proprietary caching technology, and fast DRAM-less SSDs in the M2 2230 form factor. This followed the company's June 16 announcement of its WM8500 5nm chip, which delivers up to 2:1 in-memory lossless compression and supports single-drive capacities up to 128TB.
