Macnica Technology, also known as Macnica Fuji Electronics, is a publicly owned company headquartered in the US. Founded in 2012, the company operates with approximately 20 employees. It specializes in providing video over IP network technologies based on SMPTE ST2110 and AIMS IPMX open standards for broadcast and pro-AV industries. The company supplies modules and SoCs to OEMs and ODMs to enable faster integration of video over IP technologies into their product features.
Macnica plans a webinar on February 25, 2026, to discuss lessons from real deployments of ST 2110 at scale, highlighting the standard's role in driving a shift from SDI and fixed-function hardware to IP-based, server-centric media architectures. This follows the Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) introducing the Internet Protocol Media Experience (IPMX) standard in 2026, which AIMS expects to catalyze the evolution of AV-over-IP from proprietary implementations towards an open ecosystem. On January 28, 2026, Macnica announced a production-ready version of its ME10 System-On-Chip (SoC) for embedded devices, which it plans to showcase at ISE 2026. The ME10 offers higher performance via a new Machine-to-Machine (M2M) interface, providing a complete, interoperable, and standards-based AV over IP solution for integration into low-power, high-efficiency embedded devices, enabling product developers to build IPMX-compliant products at scale. Previously, Macnica Americas announced its participation in ISE 2026 from February 3-6, where it will present its ST 2110 and IPMX solutions for AV over IP deployment.
