Matterport provided digital twin technology for Nordlaks' facility expansion and modernization project in Børøya, Stokmarknes, Norway, completed sometime after the news story was published. The project involved Autodesk Construction Cloud and aimed to improve the aquaculture company's value chain. Matterport's technology is also used in real estate, creating virtual tours for brokers, homeowners, and buyers to view properties remotely before in-person showings. These virtual tours, a common application of Matterport's hardware and software, have become a popular method for property viewing, particularly since 2020.
