Mediahaus is a privately owned company headquartered in Austria. Founded in 2003, with approximately 10 employees, the company functions as a media production entity, specializing in media managed services.
On March 27, 2024, Blackmagic Design announced that Mediahaus GmbH served as the host broadcaster for the Mountain Attack ski mountaineering competition in Austria. This event marked the first real-world test of the Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 camera's live streaming capabilities. Mediahaus GmbH used the camera to send live H.264 streams via SRT, a protocol optimized for live video streaming, from mountainside cameras to an outside broadcast truck. On April 28, 2024, Mediahaus delivered the first SRT live-streaming sports production over 5G using the URSA Broadcast G2 camera at the Mountain Attack event. Mediahaus also participated in a dinner with Endeit Capital and a breakfast with Rubio Impact No Such Ventures and Mediahaus Ventures at HR Tech Europe in Amsterdam.
