Metropolitan Handball Federation

Metropolitan Handball Federation, also known as FEMEBAL, is a privately owned entity headquartered in Argentina. Founded in 1975, it employs approximately 40 individuals. Its main products include sports tickets, merchandise, and sponsorships. The company functions as a non-profit association of entities that promotes and regulates handball within the city of Buenos Aires and its surrounding areas, catering to both federated and school levels. In addition to promotional and school tournaments, FEMEBAL organizes two championships per season, Apertura and Clausura, for men's and women's teams across Adult, Junior, Youth, Cadet, Minor, Children's, and Mini categories. Furthermore, since 2005, it organizes a "Super 4" tournament at the end of each season, involving a total of seven top teams from the Apertura and Clausura tournaments for both men's and women's categories in the Adult, Youth, and Cadet divisions, utilizing a single-elimination or playoff system. Top FEMEBAL teams from all categories qualify for national tournaments organized by the CAH (Argentine Handball Confederation).
