Mikros Animation, a privately owned French CGI animation studio founded in 1985, provides broadcast professional services. As of 2023, it employs approximately 1480 people and generates annual revenues below $250 million. The company is a subsidiary of the Technicolor Group.
Rodeo FX acquired Mikros Animation's feature animation division. OuiDO Productions acquired Mikros Animation's episodic division and Technicolor Animation Productions. These acquisitions follow the February collapse of Technicolor, the parent company of Mikros Animation, MPC, The Mill, and Technicolor Gaming. Many animation and VFX studios have since announced hires from former Technicolor units. Mikros Animation, along with The Mill and MPC, was previously considered a leader in visual storytelling.
