Millersville University of Pennsylvania, a state-owned public university located in Millersville, Pennsylvania, was founded in 1855. It is one of ten institutions within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE). Originally established as Pennsylvania's first Normal School, the university currently employs approximately 1,660 people and holds accreditation from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
