Previously, on August 13, Mimecast unveiled two platform additions at Black Hat USA 2026: the beta of Mimecast Agent Risk Centre and Managed Threat Response. Managed Threat Response is a redesigned 24/7 managed service that combines AI-driven triage with analyst-confirmed remediation to close the gap in uninvestigated security alerts. This follows insights shared by Mimecast CISO Leslie Nielsen on August 6, who argued that agentic AI extends human risk, and existing controls for managing people should form the foundation for managing machines, given that AI agents operate with human-level credentials and access but lack judgment or accountability.
