Ministerio das Comunicacoes (Brazil), also known as MCom, is a State Owned entity headquartered in Brazil, originally established in 1967 and re-established in its current independent form in June 2020. Employing approximately 760 individuals, the Brazilian federal ministry functions as a central governmental executive body responsible for formulating and implementing national policies for telecommunications, broadcasting, and postal services. It is funded by the federal budget and sector-specific funds, including FUST (Telecommunications Universalization Fund) and FUNTTEL (Telecommunications Technological Development Fund). Its mission encompasses expanding digital inclusion, modernizing the country's communication infrastructure, and supervising linked entities such as Anatel (regulation), Correios (postal services), and Telebras (strategic telecommunications).
