Momenta is a privately owned company headquartered in China, founded in 2016 and employing approximately 490 individuals. The company specializes in artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, developing autonomous driving solutions designed to enhance safety, convenience, and efficiency of mobility.
On August 19, 2026, Momenta, in collaboration with XHEART, selected QNX OS for Safety from BlackBerry's QNX division as the foundational technology for its Physical AI-defined autonomous driving platform. This followed Momenta receiving Germany-wide L4 testing approval from the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) on July 29, 2026, a milestone for its European growth that reflects regulator confidence in its autonomous driving technology. Earlier in July, on the 27th, Momenta launched its Robovan business in Xiangcheng District, Suzhou, China, applying its proprietary World Model to enable round-the-clock driverless logistics for urban supply chains. At the beginning of 2026, IM Motors launched its IM5 and IM6 models in the United Arab Emirates and Tunisia, both equipped with the IM driver assistance system jointly developed by IM Motors and Momenta.
