Monmouth University is a privately owned university located in West Long Branch, New Jersey, USA. Founded in 1933 as Monmouth Junior College, it transitioned to Monmouth College in 1956 and ultimately received university status in 1995. The university currently employs approximately 2,200 people and serves a student body of roughly 6,410, comprising approximately 4,400 full-time and 260 part-time undergraduate students, and 1,750 graduate students. Its faculty consists of 302 full-time members.
