Moxion, formerly known as Autodesk Flow Capture, is a privately owned US-based company founded in 2015. Employing approximately 30 people, it provides a cloud-based platform for digital dailies and review in film and video production, facilitating collaboration between on-set and post-production teams. In 2021, the company's revenue was less than $10 million.
Moxion Power, a California-based manufacturer of clean mobile energy storage technology, announced several significant developments. In May 2023, California Governor Gavin Newsom visited Moxion's new state-of-the-art gigafactory in Richmond, California. The company secured a 40,000-square-foot lease for its "Factory One" expansion at the former Ford Motor Plant in Richmond, enabling the expansion of its mobile power products. Moxion Power aims to disrupt the diesel generator industry with battery-electric alternatives, backed by investors such as Amazon and Microsoft. The company's roadmap includes plans to achieve complete decarbonization by 2045, encouraging investment in projects like Moxion's. The new facility at the former Ford Point Assembly Plant will span 205,000 square feet and have an annual production capacity of 7GWh of mobile battery energy storage units. Additionally, Moxion Power announced the construction of an energy storage gigafactory in the US, with a battery manufacturing capacity of over 7 GWh or approximately 10,000 mobile energy storage products per year.
