Earlier, on June 26, NLS began offering introductory tours every Saturday at its George IV Bridge Visitor Centre, highlighting its work and cultural treasures. This follows the library's partnership with the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) on the "Mapping Identities" project, announced on June 20, which examines how maps have shaped Scotland's perception of its geography, history, and national identity. On June 13, NLS hosted a "Shoebox City crafternoon: WestFest edition," an all-ages creative session using recycled materials to reimagine Glasgow's West End, building on a similar workshop from 2025.
