Friday October 24, 2025 IN THE NEWS The “Stranger Things” series finale will screen in over 350 theaters starting Wednesday, December 31 at 5p – the same time it premieres on Netflix. “We’re beyond excited that fans will have the chance to experience the final episode of ‘Stranger Things’ in theaters — it’s something we’ve dreamed about for years,” said series creators Matt and Ross Duffer.

The Rockland Community Foundation and Optimum are seeking submissions for the new Innovated Teaching Grant program. The program aims to empower educators to create hands-on learning projects and teaching tools. Teachers can receive an individual grant between $200 and $500 or a group grant between $500 and $1,000. Optimum is donating $15,000 to the program through Donors Choose. Public school teachers in the county can apply now through Sept. 15. Optimum is the sister company of News 12 Networks.
