Newsday Media Group, a privately owned company founded in 1940, is a US-based newspaper publisher. Employing approximately 1,210 people, its primary focus is the production and distribution of newspapers serving Nassau and Suffolk counties on Long Island.
Newsday reported on a lawsuit filed against Air Zimbabwe by a South African aviation services company seeking USD210,000 in recovery for costs incurred after an aircraft and crew were stranded in the DRC earlier this year. Separately, Newsday established that Harare City Council is owed over ZW$8 billion (approximately US$25 million) in unpaid rates, with the government identified as the largest debtor.
