Nordic Capital is a privately owned company headquartered in Sweden. Founded in 1989, and employing approximately 290 individuals, the firm operates primarily in capital markets through its private equity funds. Nordic Capital's investment strategy focuses predominantly on Northern Europe, targeting selective industries such as Healthcare, Tech & Payments, and Financial Services.
Nordic Capital is actively pursuing transactions in the pathology sector, alongside firms such as Astorg, Cinven, Consonance, and Pike Street, as of March 27, 2026. This follows the March 24 completion of Thermo Fisher's $8.875 billion acquisition of Clario, in which Nordic Capital, Astorg, Novo, and Cinven were sellers. Earlier in March, on the 19th, Nordic Capital and CVC Capital Partners began exploring exit options for Cary Group, with discussions underway with advisers regarding a potential sale or initial public offering for the vehicle glass repair platform, a move that could value the business at over €3 billion. On March 17, Nordic Capital announced a strategic partnership with TradingHub, becoming its majority shareholder in a deal expected to conclude in the second quarter of 2026, while existing investor Summit Partners and co-founder Neil Walker will maintain minority stakes.
