On February 7, social media users raised concerns regarding supply chain vulnerabilities after reports indicated the U.S. Army was pursuing $1.1 million in penalties against Northrop Grumman. The penalties stem from delays, some up to 18 months, in artillery ammunition deliveries to Ukraine. Earlier the same day, Northrop Grumman sued Maryland-based subcontractor Element U.S. Space & Defense for more than $10 million in damages. The lawsuit alleges that an "inexperienced technician's gross error" during testing in 2024 wrecked a $5 million solar satellite array.
