Novatek published its 2026 Q2 Consolidated Financial Report on September 2, 2026. This followed the company's August 18 signing of an electromechanical contract with Xuan Tong System Integration Co. Ltd. worth NT$1365 million to construct the first-phased R&D computing center building at Tongluo Science Park. Novatek's Board of Directors approved this project on March 10, 2026, with an estimated total cost of NT$2888.58 million. Earlier on August 12, Novatek stated at an investor conference that its third-quarter 2026 growth would depend on demand for smartphone display driver integrated circuits (DDI) and Edge AI. This outlook followed the company's announcement earlier the same day of its 2026 second-quarter consolidated financial results and third-quarter outlook, where it reported that Q2 revenue and gross margin surpassed expectations due to stronger customer orders across all three major product categories.
