On April 7, 2026, Chicago-based natural products manufacturer NOW detailed its partnership with plastics action platform rePurpose Global, becoming a Plastic Recovery Pledge Partner. Amber Cerda, NOW's director of marketing, stated this latest initiative reflects the company's long-standing commitment to environmental responsibility. This collaboration, which NOW announced on April 6, aims to address global plastic pollution, with the companies committing to recover more than 600,000 pounds of ocean-bound plastic by the end of 2028, coinciding with NOW's 60th anniversary. rePurpose Global, established in 2016, works towards a more circular and waste-free global economy. Earlier on April 6, NOW (Bloomingdale, IL) released findings from its testing of 35 oregano oil supplements sourced from Amazon. The results showed that nearly two-thirds of the products failed potency tests, and six contained no detectable carvacrol, the active measurable component in oregano oil.
