Founded in 1874, the NSW Waratahs are a privately owned Australian rugby union team representing New South Wales. They compete in the Super Rugby tournament and employ approximately 100 people. Based at the David Phillips Sporting Complex in Daceyville, Australia, the Waratahs are the state's sole professional rugby team. In 2023, the team reported contributing over $1,100,000 to support the development of grassroots rugby in New South Wales.
